Bernard Acoca Becomes New Chief Executive Officer and Zaxby's CEO to Transition to Chairman with Co-Founder Zack McLeroy

Zach McLeroy happens to be Zaxby’s CEO and founder, and soon he is going to be moving to the role of chairman, effective January 2022. Bernard Acoca, the company’s new chief executive officer, will serve as McLeroy’s successor.

With his extensive experience and history working in the restaurant industry, Acoca will be able to drive the company’s growth and continue the tradition of Zaxby’s culture. McLeroy will also continue to be a part of the company’s leadership team.

Bernard Acoca is the new Zaxby’s CEO and co-founder. The Zaxby’s CEO has been making waves in the restaurant industry for years. He has grown Zaxby’s from a single chicken finger joint near Georgia Tech to one of the fastest-growing chains in the country. Headquartered in Athens, Georgia, Zaxby’s now has more restaurants nationwide and serves many customers yearly.

Bernard is an extremely passionate marketer that gets the job done! He is creative and full of energy. When Bernard is hired on a client project, she knows in the pitch that their campaign will succeed.

He has a strong passion for what he does and wants to learn more and more about the marketing world around him. He doesn’t stop at learning but also enjoys teaching others what he’s learned.

Bernard Acoca continues to learn more about the market and how to approach clients with new ideas. He challenges what he has been taught and is willing to take risks. Bernard is determined and sets a high goal for himself.

He was born in New York and is a graduate of Hunter College with a bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing Management.

He worked at an advertising agency and learned how to develop his marketing strategies and how to help others succeed.

He has been employed at companies like Charles River Laboratories and the American Biotechnology Company.

Bernard Acoca is now the National Training and Development Manager at Genzyme. Genzyme is a biotechnology company that produces therapeutics for rare and genetic diseases.

As the National Training and Development Manager, Bernard’s tasks include developing employees, sales training, corporate learning centers and managing global events.

He is now the Vice President of Global Sales at Y-Me Breast Cancer Organization, overseeing their marketing department.
